PANEL 2. The clock stops. The door stays shut.

• JULES: We did not open it.
• ARYA: I know. Stay beside me.

PANEL 4.

• JULES: That corridor was six steps long.
• ARYA: Do not follow anything with my face. Ask me first.

PANEL 5.

• KOMANG: Relax. I know every alley on this island.
• SYSTEM: PATHFINDER|Route search active.

PANEL 6.

• KOMANG: Correction. This is no longer the island.
• ARYA: You made that mark?
• KOMANG: Three wrong turns ago.

PANEL 7.

• COPY: One perfect day. No complaints. No one disappointed in you.

PANEL 8.

• JULES: All three routes end at the same button.
• SYSTEM: ONE GOOD DAY|Accept your replacement. Your duties will be completed perfectly.

PANEL 9. Sanur. The same morning.

• ODY: Bram… you can see that too?
• BRAM: The floating door above the water? Unfortunately.

PANEL 10.

• BRAM: Screen is off. It is still there.
• ODY: Keep my call with Arya connected. We are not leaving them.

PANEL 11. The front entrance still opens onto the real street.

• DEWA: Arya! I am outside the front entrance. Can you hear me?

PANEL 12.

• DEWA: Red strap. I have secured this end outside. Follow its pull.
• KOMANG: Got it!

Part 2. THE HIDDEN PRICE

PANEL 13. Once, all Arya had asked for was one good day.

PANEL 14. The offer knows exactly where to hurt.

• ARYA: No one waiting. No one angry. Nothing left to fix.

PANEL 15.

• JULES: Wait. There is another line underneath.
• SYSTEM: TRANSFER TERMS|Your replacement keeps your memories. Everyone you love forgets you.

PANEL 16.

• ARYA: A day off… where nobody remembers us?
• JULES: I almost pressed it. I thought nobody would have to fix my mistakes again.

PANEL 17.

• ARYA: You found the catch. That is why we need you here.

PANEL 18.

• SYSTEM: RALLY|Stay together. No one takes the next step alone.

PANEL 19.

• KOMANG: The orange routes follow the offer. The strap follows Dewa.
• ARYA: Which one would you trust with your bike?
• KOMANG: Dewa. He would complain all day, but it would still be there.

PANEL 20. Pathfinder finds the gap between what is offered and what is real.

• KOMANG: There. The map ends, but the strap keeps going.

• JULES: Arya!

• ARYA: I have you. Look at me.

Part 3. THE WAY HOME

• KOMANG: Keep looking at the red strap. Not the doors!

PANEL 24.

• DEWA: One more step. All three of you.

PANEL 25.

• ODY: I am tired. But my friends do not need a perfect version of me.
• BRAM: The real one is irritating enough.

PANEL 26.

• ODY: Arya, if you can still hear me—come back as yourself.

PANEL 27. Three people cross the real threshold. None has accepted.

• SYSTEM: TRIAL ENDED|Replacement declined. Perfect-day reward forfeited.

PANEL 28.

• KOMANG: Next time I say I want a holiday, please specify the location.
• DEWA: Outside. For a start.

PANEL 29.

• JULES: I will call the waiting guests. Explain the delay. Let them choose a new time.
• DEWA: Good. Close the office until we have checked it together.

PANEL 30. No reward screen fixes the damage.

• KOMANG: Your phone made it back too.
• ARYA: Its screen did not.

Part 4. ENOUGH FOR TODAY

PANEL 31. Later. Ody and Bram return, park, and take off their helmets.

PANEL 32.

• ODY: You got each other out. Thank you.
• JULES: We still have the key. Sealed.
• ODY: Then we stop guessing. We ask someone who has seen this before.

PANEL 33. After the checks and the guest calls. Rice, hot tea, and somewhere to sit.

• KOMANG: That thing offered a perfect day and did not even include lunch.
• JULES: You would have read the food section before the terms.
• KOMANG: I have priorities.

PANEL 34.

• ARYA: Phone broken. Work late. Rice on my shirt.
• ARYA: But we all came home. Today… that is enough.

PANEL 35. The envelope is still sealed. Something inside it remembers.

• SYSTEM: KEY RECORD RECOVERED|First activation: 1963. Gatekeeper required.

PANEL 36. Elsewhere in Bali.

• GRANDMOTHER: So. The door we closed has learned to knock.
