WERIGO SAGA Episode 7: Seven Days

COLD OPEN. 5:58 AM. The Werigo shop, still dark. Komang unlocks the shutter, yawning, coffee in hand.

• CAPTION: Day 2. 5:58 AM.

PANEL 1. The shutter rises. Someone is already sitting inside in the dark, face lit only by a tablet. Rimless glasses flash. Pak Remy.

• SFX: KRRRRAK.
• PAK REMY: You open at eight.
• KOMANG: ...We open at eight?!

PANEL 2. Komang's coffee hits the floor.

• SFX: SPLAT.
• SYSTEM (red): [AUDIT: DAY 2 / 7]

PANEL 3. ODY arrives, still in yesterday's shirt, two phones in his hands.

• PAK REMY: Your fleet is at ninety five percent. Why not one hundred?
• ODY: Because we stop at ninety five. It keeps the batteries healthy for years.
• PAK REMY (writing): ...Noted.

Title card. EPISODE 7 · SEVEN DAYS.

PANEL 4 · DAY 2, UBUD. Dawn. Chloe and Jake glide through a waking village. A grandmother sweeping, a rooster, offerings on a step. Nobody looks up.

• CAPTION: Day 2. Ubud.
• CHLOE (thought): Nobody even turns around. We're just part of the morning.
• SYSTEM (yellow): [VISITOR QUEST: SEE THE ISLAND · 2 / 7]

PANEL 5. Tegallalang rice terraces, full page. Chloe sketching on a bench, Jake taking photos, the two bikes parked on the lane.

• JAKE: Battery?
• CHLOE: More than half. We could go all the way back and do it again.

PANEL 6 · THE AUDITOR FOLLOWS. A black car idles on the road above the terraces. Pak Remy in the back seat, tablet up, filming them.

• PAK REMY (on the phone): They have not stopped once for fuel.
• PAK CHAN (phone): Numbers, Remy. Not stories.

PANEL 7 · DAY 3. Rain. A flat tyre near Tabanan. Chloe and Jake under a warung roof.

• SYSTEM: [DAY 3 / 7]
• CHLOE: Okay. This is where holidays go wrong.
• JAKE: WhatsApp them?

PANEL 8. Phone close-up, WhatsApp.

• CHLOE: Hi, flat tyre near Tabanan, sorry!!
• WERIGO: No worries, share your location. Komang is on his way.

PANEL 9 · PATHFINDER. Komang on the red Victory tears through a narrow gang no map shows, orange light trail, chickens scattering.

• SYSTEM (orange): [PATHFINDER: SHORTCUT FOUND · ETA 11 MIN]
• KOMANG: Every gang on the island, baby!

PANEL 10 · THE CHAIRMAN WATCHES. Across the road, a black car. The window slides down a few centimetres. Pak Chan watches Komang sort the tyre in under ten minutes. The window slides back up.

• SYSTEM (red): [THE BOARD IS WATCHING]

PANEL 11. The warung owner brings hot tea. Chloe laughs, soaked.

• WARUNG OWNER: Tea while you wait.
• CHLOE (thought): Best bad day I've ever had.

PANEL 12 · THE HELMET TRIAL. The Werigo shop. Pak Remy walks the helmet shelf. The crew stands very straight.

• PAK REMY: Two helmets per rider. One is cheaper.
• ODY: Two is the standard. The second one is for the person they fall in love with on the trip.
• PAK REMY: ...That is not a number.
• ODY: Give it seven days.

PANEL 13 · DAY 4, ULUWATU. Sunset. The Wedison SuperCharge canopy on the cliff. Sekar and Dewa charging. Chloe and Jake pull in.

• SYSTEM: [DAY 4 / 7]
• SEKAR: Visitors, huh? How's the island treating you?
• CHLOE: I haven't opened my laptop in four days.

PANEL 14. Dewa shows Jake the steps on the pile and the app.

• DEWA: Gun in the port. Scan the QR on the pile with the Wedison SuperCharge app. Pay, and it starts by itself. Ten to eighty in about fifteen minutes.
• SEKAR: You two are fine though. You charge at the villa every night.

PANEL 15 · BAYU. A loud engine dies right at the canopy entrance. Bayu, pushing his sportbike again.

• SFX: PUTT... PUTT... PFFT.
• BAYU: Don't. Say. Anything.
• JAKE: ...Is he okay?
• SEKAR: He's been "okay" since episode two.

PANEL 16. From the edge of the car park, Pak Remy watches Dewa's app screen over his shoulder. For the first time, he stops typing.

• PAK REMY (thought): Fifteen minutes...

PANEL 17 · DAY 5. Dawn. Chloe and Jake stop respectfully for a temple procession, offerings on women's heads, the bikes silent at the roadside.

• SYSTEM: [DAY 5 / 7]
• CAPTION: Some mornings, you just pull over and watch.

PANEL 18 · MIDNIGHT. The Werigo shop. ODY alone at the whiteboard. A red window over his head.

• SYSTEM (red): [AUDIT: 2 DAYS LEFT] [PROJECTED VERDICT: SHUT DOWN]
• PAK CHAN (voice message): Numbers don't lie, ODY.
• ODY (thought): Numbers alone won't save us. Let them see who we ride for.

PANEL 19 · DAY 6. Seminyak at night. Street food, the bikes parked outside, fairy lights.

• SYSTEM: [DAY 6 / 7]
• JAKE: Home, plug in, sleep. I'm going to miss this routine.

PANEL 20 · THE TWIST. Same night, 1 AM. An empty coastal road. A lone rider on a black Wedison Athena, helmet visor down, rimless glasses under it. Pak Remy, riding alone, testing it himself.

• CAPTION: Nobody was supposed to see this.
• PAK REMY (thought): No vibration. No noise. No fuel receipt.

PANEL 21. A faint grey dashed window flickers beside him, then disappears.

• SYSTEM (grey, glitching): [PLAYER DETECT... ERROR]
• PAK REMY: ...What was that?

PANEL 22. Last night at the villa. Charging lights glow in the courtyard. Chloe finishes her sketchbook. The cover reads THE QUIET WAY.

• CHLOE (thought): Seven days. One sketchbook. I forgot I could do this.

PANEL 23 · DAY 7. Arya and Komang arrive for the pickup.

• SYSTEM: [DAY 7 / 7]
• CHLOE: Is it weird to be sad about a scooter?
• ARYA: Everyone says that.

PANEL 24.

• CHLOE: Can we just... extend? Or come back?
• KOMANG: Monthly is cheaper. Just saying.
• JAKE: Chloe. We have jobs.
• CHLOE: For now.

PANEL 25. Their windows fade.

• SYSTEM (yellow): [VISITOR PASS EXPIRED]
• SYSTEM (yellow): [RETURN QUEST UNLOCKED: COME BACK SOON]

PANEL 26 · CLIFFHANGER. The Werigo shop. The door opens. Pak Chan and Pak Remy walk in and sit down across from ODY. Nobody speaks. Pak Remy's helmet hair is still a little flat.

• SYSTEM (red, enormous): [AUDIT: DAY 7 / 7] [VERDICT PENDING]
• PAK CHAN: Well, Operator?
